How do I clean tarnished items?

Your Magnasonic Ultrasonic Cleaner is designed to remove deposits of dirt and grime which conventional cleaning methods may miss.

Over time, silver jewelry, utensils, etc may tarnish, dulling their shine. This is caused by oxidation, the same process which causes rust.

To remove tarnish from silver items, you will want to use a silver cleaning cloth to polish off the tarnish, then clean the item in your ultrasonic cleaner.

If your items are heavily tarnished, we recommend soaking them in a tarnish remover (follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully). After this, they can be cleaned with your ultrasonic cleaner.
