What is protection mode on a subwoofer?

Amplifier Protection Mode is a shutdown state that amplifiers can enable to prevent serious damage to the unit or other components in the system. Protection Mode can be activated in two scenarios:
  1. The subwoofer is overheating – Ensure the area surrounding the subwoofer is at room temperature and it is not in an enclosed space, power it off, and unplug the subwoofer from power.
  2. If the unit is not installed properly – consult the included quick start guide and manual, and ensure no wires are touching.
