What is protection mode on a subwoofer?
Amplifier Protection Mode is a shutdown state that amplifiers can enable to prevent serious damage to the unit or other components in the system. Protection Mode can be activated in two scenarios:
- The subwoofer is overheating – Ensure the area surrounding the subwoofer is at room temperature and it is not in an enclosed space, power it off, and unplug the subwoofer from power.
- If the unit is not installed properly – consult the included quick start guide and manual, and ensure no wires are touching.
