Why is there distortion or no sound from the optical connection?
The Ai41, Ai60, Ai61, Ai81, and Fi70 powered speakers do not support Dolby Digital Audio. If you are experiencing difficulty using the Optical input you may need to change the audio output settings on your source device.
These instructions will help you select PCM audio on common devices. Our powered speakers support PCM audio through optical but some devices refer to this format differently.
