How to Connect and Set Up Your Fluance Ai40 Powered Bookshelf Speakers for the First Time
Setting up your Ai40 powered bookshelf speaker is as easy as it gets!
In the box you received an active speaker and a passive speaker. It’s the job of the active speaker to deliver power and signal to the passive speaker. In this case, the active speaker is the RIGHT channel as indicated by the R in the top corner on the back of the speaker cabinet.
- To connect the speakers, you can either use the included pre-cut speaker wire or if a longer run is needed, you can use your own.
- Loosen the nuts on each binding post until the hole is visible in each.
- Insert the bare ends of the wire, one side into each binding post on the active speaker.
- Tighten the nuts down on the speaker wire until they’re secure.
- If you think you might move the speakers around to other locations often, banana plugs can also be used.
- On the passive speaker, repeat this process. Be sure that the same side of the wire is connected the matching binding post. Positive to Positive, Negative to Negative.
- Connect the DC power supply to the DC port on the active speaker.
- Plug your speakers into an available wall outlet.
