If your audio quality has diminished, it is important to inspect your stylus. It should be free of dirt or debris. It can be cleaned using a stylus brush. Ortofon advises against the use of the Zerodust stylus cleaner as it may damage the stylus.
Generally, a stylus should last from 300-1000 hours before you experience changes in performance.
