Your Ai40 will include two speakers, the right channel speaker is considered active, meaning the speaker is powered and will provide power to the left channel through speaker wire.

On the front of the Active speaker, you’ll find the following:

Volume Control Knob: Turning this knob will control the volume of both speakers. Pressing it will cycle through the input selections RCA and Bluetooth indicated by colour.
Indicator LED: The colour of the LED will depend on the status of the speaker, the brightness of the LED can be dimmed using the remote control.
  • Red: Power Off
  • Yellow: RCA Input
  • Blue: Bluetooth
  • Flashing Blue: No Bluetooth device connected
  • While adjusting Bass and Treble:
    • double flash – Flat EQ
    • Flashing Red – Maximum or Minimum bass or treble
Infrared Remote Sensor: Your remote must be directed towards this sensor when you use it.

On the back of the Active speaker you’ll find:

The Bluetooth Pairing Reset Button.
RCA inputs.
Binding posts used for connecting the left speaker.
DC power input.
3. On the back of the Left Passive Speaker, the only connection you’ll find is binding posts for connecting your left and right speakers together.
4. The remote control can control the following functions on your Ai40 BookShelf Speakers:
  • Power On/Off
  • Volume
  •  Mute
  • Source
  • Treble
  • Bass
  • Play/Pause/Bluetooth Reset
  • LED brightness
