Fi70: Why do I have no sound on the optical connection?

If you've connected your Fi70 to an optical input such as the one on the back of a TV and have no sound, you may need to update some settings and check your connections. The steps below should resolve this.
  1. Confirm the speaker is on the correct source via LED Colour – White.Test the speakers for functionality by using another audio input or source
  2. Inspect the ends of the optical cable to ensure there are no caps or covers on the connect
  3. Check the TV or Source Device audio settings. The output should be set to Stereo or PCM. Our speakers do not support Dolby or other Surround Sound codecs.
  4. If the audio input is set to auto-detect, change it manually to Stereo or PCM
  5. Try another Optical Cable.
  6. Try another source device – eg if they have it connected to the TV, connect it to one of the sources like a game console or cable box.
  7. Confirm if your TV audio is set to External Speakers.
