Why is my record player making a scraping sound?

There are two common reasons for your turntable to be making a scraping sound. Fortunately, they're both an easy fix!

1. There are still packing materials in the turntable assembly.

Ensure all packaging is removed from the turntable assembly, including any that may be under the turntable.

2. The transit screw is not fully engaged.

The transit screw must be turned clockwise until it meets the turntable assembly. This ensures the turntable assembly can float freely and the platter does not rub on the cabinet.
