Why does the turntable feel loose?

If you have an Electrohome All-in-One record player such as the Kingston (RR75), you will notice that the turntable seems to float in the cabinet and there may be gaps between the cabinet and turntable assembly.

This is completely normal. Turntables can pick up vibrations from the speakers which can cause feedback. To prevent this, the turntable is designed to float using springs to reduce the amount of vibration that might reach the record and stylus.

If your turntable is scraping on the cabinet or doesn't seem to move, you may need to adjust the transit screw so it's all the way down. This frees the turntable from the cabinet.
