RR35/RR36: Why is the volume low from my turntable?

If you find the volume from your Electrohome record player low, there are a few different causes:
  1. The stylus guard has not been removed from the stylus.
  2. Speakers are not connected to the turntable. The Electrohome Montrose record players require external speakers. They can be connected directly to powered speakers or to a receiver/amplifier for use with passive speakers.
  3. The preamp switch is in the incorrect position. If the turntable is connected to a PHONO input on an amplifier/receiver or speaker, the preamp switch should be in the off position. If you have it connected to any other input, the preamp should be on.
