RR35/RR36: How to connect your turntable to powered speakers

How to Connect Montrose Record Player and McKinley Bookshelf Speakers (with Bluetooth or cable)

When positioning your turntable and speakers, they should not be placed on the same surface, to avoid the possibility of feedback.

Connect one end of your RCA cable to the RCA connection on the back of the turntable. Connect the other end of the RCA Cable to the RCA In connection on the speakers. You could also use the included RCA to AUX cable.

Set the preamp switch on the turntable to the On position. Select the RCA source on the speakers by pressing the Control Knob or Source Button on the remote until the LED on the front of the speakers is green. Or, if you've used the RCA to Aux cable, the LED should be set to yellow.

Now you're ready to play a record. If you want to take advantage of the Bluetooth feature on the RR36 Montrose Wireless record player, follow these steps.

Press the Bluetooth button on the record player to turn on the Bluetooth function. If this is your first time using Bluetooth on the record player, press and hold the Bluetooth button to enter pairing mode. The Bluetooth LED will flash.

Set your speakers or headphones to Bluetooth pairing mode. Electrohome McKinley's speakers will be in pairing mode when the blue LED is flashing.

If pairing is not successful, press and hold the Bluetooth button for 2 seconds. This will reset the Bluetooth pairing on the record player and it will re-enter pairing mode. If they still don't connect. Reset the connection on the record player and the speakers or headphones.

To switch back to RCA output. Press the Bluetooth button. The LEDs will turn off to show that Bluetooth is disabled.
