Electrohome Powered Speaker First Time Set Up and FAQs

FIRST TIME SETUP

  1. Position the speakers with the Active Speaker on the right and the Passive Speaker on the left.
    NOTE: If placing the speakers in a cabinet or on a shelf, position the front of the speakers as close as possible to the front edge of the shelf for optimum audio performance.
  2. Connect the speaker wire to the spring clips on the back of the Active Speaker and connect the other end of speaker wire to the spring clips on the back of the Passive Speaker.
    IMPORTANT: Ensure each wire is connected to the same color binding post on each speaker. Positive (+) to positive (+) and negative (-) to negative (-). 
  3. Connect the power cable to the back of the Active Speaker and connect the other end to a power outlet.
 
 

HOW TO CONNECT A TURNTABLE

 
 

  1. Connect one side of the red and white RCA cable to RCA output on the back of the turntable.

  2. Connect the other side of the RCA cable to the RCA IN connections on the back of the speakers.

  3. Connect the ground cable to the ground terminal on the turntable.

  4. On the back of the speaker partially loosen a screw on the back panel of the active speaker. Slide the other end of the ground cable under this screw and tighten it back down.

  5. If your turntable has a built in preamp, set the switch to the ON or LINE position.

  6. Press the Control Knob on the active speaker to select the RCA input (Green LED).
